Frequently Asked Questions

Updated: Jan 22, 2022

Do you take credit/debit or cash?

Yes, I take credit/debit, checks, cash, FSA/ HSA. While I dont work with insurance companies I can generate a super bill or invoice for you to send to your insurance directly, It is suggested to always check their policy coverage before hand. I also include my SOAP notes which are the session notes about what we did and any reported progress. I also have a National Provider Identification number (NPI) that will be included for any claims. I do not deal with any money for third party services.

What is the best way to make an appointment?

ELMT now offers online booking through the link at the top of the page or by clicking here! Emailing, texting, or calling is also available to make an appointment. It is helpful to include two or three times and dates that you would like to schedule your massage for. If I miss your call please leave a message to receive a call back.

Can you come to my home?

Yes, Emma Lani Massage Therapy is offers mobile massage in NWI in addition to our home office! I will bring everything needed from the table and sheets to the music. Feel free to light your own favorite candles or set up your favorite music if you prefer. I look forward to bringing massage therapy to you and your home.

What is included in a massage?

Before the first massage there is a short health history for you to fill out. It only takes a few minutes to fill out so 5 minutes early is plenty. Each session includes time at the beginning to discuss your needs and give you time to get undressed to your comfort level and get comfortable on the table. Each session is tailored to the client and their current medical massage or therapeutic needs. The therapist may use a mix of the modalities they are certified in throughout the session. You will be modestly draped through the massage. IF there are any areas you would like focus on or avoided inform your therapist during the intake. At the end of your session there will be time for you getting up from the table and redress. ELMT holds clients and therapists to the highest professional standards of conduct. Any inappropriate behavior will result in the end of the massage and dismissal of the client.

Do I need to have a drape?

Yes, I require draping during the session for your modesty and my professionalism. The minimum I am willing to drape is a fully body sheet without an extra blanket for warmth. I use a full body drape and undrape the specific area that I am working on at the time. Most states also require and outline proper draping in the Practice Acts.

Do you take walk-in appointments?

No, I do not take walk in appointments as I am currently fully mobile. Please visit the online calendar and book a session. ELMT also has a cancellation list; If you would like to add your phone number to the cancellation list please email or call ELMT and let us know!

Do you take insurance?

No, we do not take insurance but we can print and/or email you an invoice and notes for your visits that you can send to your provider. Please check that they reimburse for massage beforehand.

Can you work on kids?

I work primarily with adults but am willing to work with teens and children. Parents or guardians need to sign the policy and health history papers for their children along with a massage for minors release form for anyone under the age of 18. The parent or guardian must also be present in the massage room while the child is on the table. Keep in mind that as a patient your child can make the decision to end the massage early if they do not feel comfortable or no longer want to receive massage.

Are you a Spa? Do you have saunas, body wrap treatments, and facials?

No, ELMT only provides massage therapy services. This is a mobile massage business that provides services in homes and offices.
